Custom Yeast Formulation Service

ArtemisYeast supports B2B buyers who need yeast products, blends, or fermentation-related formulations adjusted for a defined industrial application. This page explains how custom formulation inquiries are reviewed, what information we need, how minimum order quantities are handled, and how confidentiality and intellectual property are treated. Our custom work is inquiry-only and depends on technical feasibility, raw material availability, regulatory fit, and production capacity. Nothing on this page creates a supply commitment until both sides confirm the specification, quantity, documents, timeline, and commercial terms in writing. For a custom formulation request, contact us by email at info@artemisyeast.com.

Scope of custom formulation

Custom formulation may include adjustments to yeast product specifications, dry blending, carrier selection, fermentation media concepts, nutrient systems, particle size targets, packaging format, or documentation requirements for a defined B2B use case.

We only accept projects that are technically realistic, lawful for the intended market, and compatible with our supply and quality controls. We do not promise suitability for any regulated end use unless the required specifications, documents, and approval path are reviewed and agreed in writing.

Inquiry and review process

A typical custom formulation project follows these steps:

  • Initial inquiry: the buyer describes the product need, target application, destination market, estimated volume, and required documents.
  • Feasibility review: we check whether the requested formulation, raw materials, production route, and documentation are practical.
  • Specification alignment: both sides confirm the target parameters, test methods, packaging, labeling, and acceptance criteria.
  • Sample or pilot stage: when appropriate, a sample or pilot batch is prepared for evaluation.
  • Approval and supply plan: after written approval, production planning, lead time, and shipment details are confirmed.

Some projects may stop at the feasibility stage if the request is outside our capability or cannot be supported responsibly.

Information we need from buyers

To review a request efficiently, please include the intended application, target product form, key technical parameters, required certifications or documents, destination country or region, expected annual or campaign volume, preferred packaging, and any known restrictions on ingredients or processing aids.

If you already have a specification sheet, safety data sheet, sample benchmark, or test method, please attach it to your email. If the information is confidential, tell us before sending sensitive details so that confidentiality arrangements can be discussed first.

MOQ and production scale

Minimum order quantity depends on the formulation, raw material sourcing, production route, packaging format, cleaning requirements, and whether the item is a one-time project or a repeat supply item.

Small laboratory samples or pilot quantities may be possible for evaluation, but they do not guarantee that the same formulation can be produced at commercial scale. Commercial MOQ will be confirmed only after feasibility review and written specification alignment.

R&D timeline and project timing

R&D timing varies by complexity. A simple specification adjustment may move faster than a new blend, new raw material combination, or project requiring additional tests and documents. New formulations may need several review rounds, sample preparation, buyer testing, revision, and production planning.

Any timeline we provide during early discussion is an estimate, not a binding commitment. Lead times may change because of raw material availability, testing results, document review, production scheduling, export requirements, or buyer feedback delays.

Samples, testing, and approval

Samples are provided for evaluation against the agreed project scope. The buyer is responsible for testing the sample under its own process conditions and confirming whether the sample meets its intended use, unless a separate written testing arrangement states otherwise.

Approval should be provided in writing. Once a formulation, specification, packaging format, or label text is approved, later changes may require a new feasibility check, new samples, updated documents, and revised production planning.

Quality documents and compliance

Available documents depend on the product type, production site, destination market, and agreed specification. Common documents may include specification sheets, certificates of analysis, safety data sheets, allergen or ingredient statements, and other standard export documents where applicable.

The buyer is responsible for confirming that the finished product and its use comply with local laws, import rules, labeling rules, and industry requirements in the destination market. ArtemisYeast can support document requests, but we do not act as the buyer's local regulatory advisor.

Intellectual property and ownership

Each party keeps ownership of the intellectual property, know-how, data, documents, and materials it owned before the project. A custom formulation project does not transfer ownership of either party's background technology unless a separate written agreement clearly says so.

Project-specific ownership, exclusivity, use rights, restrictions on reuse, or private-label arrangements must be agreed in writing before development begins. If no separate agreement is in place, ArtemisYeast may retain its general manufacturing knowledge, process know-how, and non-confidential learnings from the project.

Confidentiality

We treat non-public technical and commercial information shared for a custom formulation inquiry as confidential when it is clearly identified as confidential or would reasonably be understood as confidential in the context of the project.

Confidentiality does not apply to information that is already public, independently developed without using the confidential information, lawfully received from another source, or required to be disclosed by law or competent authority. If your project requires a signed confidentiality agreement, contact us before sending sensitive files.

Changes, cancellation, and project hold

Custom formulation work depends on accurate and timely buyer input. If the buyer changes the specification, packaging, documents, destination market, or test requirements, the project may need to be re-reviewed and the schedule may change.

ArtemisYeast may place a project on hold or decline further work if required information is missing, the request becomes technically unsuitable, compliance concerns arise, raw materials are not available, or the project no longer fits available production capacity.

No guarantee until written confirmation

Discussions, samples, draft specifications, and technical comments are provided for evaluation and do not create a binding obligation to manufacture or supply. A custom formulation is confirmed only when the final specification, quantity, documents, production plan, and shipment terms are accepted by both parties in writing.

Product performance can vary depending on the buyer's equipment, storage, handling, process conditions, and downstream formulation. Buyers should run their own validation before commercial use.
